2015 SEASON IN REVIEW

The Fowlerville Junior High Cross Country Team had an amazing 2015 season.  Last season they didn’t have enough athletes to place in a meet, and this year their starting boxes were full with 40 boys and girls!

With the addition of several new runners the 7th and 8th grade girls were a team on a mission.  They placed top 4, five different times! They received a trophy for 2nd place at the Fowler/ Uncle Johns Cider Mill invitational!

The 7th and 8th grade boys team had a few injuries to contend with, but ran their hardest at every race. Five boys came in under 15:00 minutes this season for the 2 mile race. Something only one runner did last season!

The 6th graders had a great first year in cross country too. The 6th grade boys had a 1st place race in Waverly and the girls had two top 4 races!

We had five athletes join “The Gladiator Club” this season. A title given to a runner who completes a 2 mile race in 13:00 or under for a boy and 14:30 or under for a girl. Congratulations Jack Shrader, Jenna Rigotti, Azhanae Depa who did it twice, Saraphine Spalding who did it 6 times, and Captain Bryson Scott who did it every race he ran this season!

Congratulations to all our runners this year. Each athlete tried their hardest, showed incredible sportsmanship, great team work, and made their parents and coaches incredibly proud!
